Tarring Kabe Sec Schl -Nise-Agulu road will end Amawbia traffic crisis- Onwubiko

News

As festive season is approaching especially Christmas, Anambra state government should consider as utmost importance if not a top priority the rehabilitation of the strategic link road from KABE Secondary school junction, Amawbia/Umuokpu major road stretching down to the junction of Nise-Agulu road to Ekwulobia.

The traffic snarl at Amawbia/Express way junction and Amawbia round about near Government House has suffocating effect on motorists every day and create crises of unimaginable proportion at Eastern and Christmas festivity.

There is a need for the Hon Commissioner for works to detail the Engineers in the Ministry to be going around to be identifying critical and roads junctions and interconnected roads in the urban and semi urban roads to be given top priority in road rehabilitation.

It is curious that the road from Zik’s avenue to the Ministry of works is filled with potholes and craters. It is expected that “charity begins at home” by first rehabilitating the road to the Ministry of works which traverse into Amawbia and join the Amawbia Express way bypass to decongest the Amawbia round about at the government house.

Another critical road is the junction of Ifite road down to the back of Government House which carries heavy traffic because workers, Government offices and estates are growing daily in those areas which join the road to Nnamdi Azikiwe University. The Hon Commissioner for works should see it as very necessary to go round and identify critical roads that should be accorded top priority in road rehabilitation in the urban and semi urban towns.
