The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Unizik, Prof Charles Esimone has visited Kigali, Rwanda, to meet with the Management of International Computer Driving License (ICDL Africa).
THE RAZOR gathered that the move is geared towards forging a partnership with the Unizik, to enable them setup Accredited Test Center (ATC) in the institution.
Dr Emma Ojukwu, Media Adviser to the vice Chancellor, who revealed this said the centre when set up will enable the University’s transformation agenda of the Vice Chancellor for digital literacy and ICT skills for the 21st century workplace to be complete.
Part of a press statement by Ojukwu read: “The VC will be attending ICDL Africa Forum, 25th Oct 2023 at Kigali, Rwanda to discuss Digital Literacy for all: Tackling Challenges and overcoming barries in Africa.
“This will reposition the University’s academic non-teaching staff and undergraduates/ Postgraduates for a productive workforce by the Proficient use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that empowers individuals, organizations and society, through the development, promotion, and delivery of quality certification programmes at the Unizik ATC,” he said.
