As Christians worldwide celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, has called on his constituents and Nigerians to embody the values of love, sacrifice, and giving.
In his Christmas message, Umeh emphasized the importance of demonstrating love and sacrifice towards one another, especially to those in need.
“It is with a joyful heart that I felicitate with you on this year’s Christmas… This event reminds us of the ultimate aspect of our faith as Christians, when God gave His Son—Jesus Christ, to be born of a woman—Blessed Virgin Mary for the purpose of man’s redemption,” Umeh stated.
He noted that Christmas is an opportunity for Christians to share what they have with the less privileged in society.
Umeh’s message comes at a time when many Nigerians are facing economic challenges. However, he encouraged his constituents not to despair, but to look out for one another and share in the spirit of giving.
“May this Christmas bring to you and your family a lasting cause of joy and fulfillment. I wish you peace and divine protection throughout the Christmas season and into the New Year!” he said.
