PARALLAX SNAPS: Be Careful, JAMB Is Not Your Mate

Opinion

BY TONY OKAFOR

As the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), also known as JAMB, approaches, candidates across Nigeria are gearing up for a defining moment in their academic journey.

With the exam scheduled to commence on April 24, adopting a serious and strategic approach is crucial.

Reading questions carefully is vital.

Many candidates lose marks not because they don’t know the answers, but because they misinterpret the questions.

This is particularly true for subjects like religious studies, where questions may appear simple but carry deeper meanings.

To excel, candidates should practice active reading, underlining key words or phrases that indicate what is being asked.

Time management, familiarity with the exam format, regular review of study materials, and staying calm during the exam are also essential.

Let’s get serious – JAMB requires strategy. Don’t let simple questions fool you, especially in religious studies.

Don’t rush, stay calm, and remember: JAMB is not your mate.

Many brilliant candidates have taken this path multiple times without reaching their destination.

But with the right approach, you will emerge victorious.
Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favour!
