Ogboji Killings: Anambra Non Indigenes Laud Soludo, Nwifuru, Ofoke, Commend CP Orutugu

The superlative roles played by the trio of Gov Charles Soludo, Gov Ogbonnaya Nwaifuru and member of it’s Elder”s Council Chief Moses Ofoke over the killings at Ogboji in Orumba South local government area have been described as commendable.

Similarly the arrest of one suspect in connection with the killings by the Anambra Police Command has also been greeted with encomiums , a development that is a right step towards unmasking the killers.

In a statement by the President of the Association of Non Indigenes In Anambra State ANIAS Prince Chigozie Nweke it expressed certification with the preliminary investigations already carried out by the Police Command under the watchful eyes of CP Ikioye Orutugu.

Earlier the Association had on getting wind of the killings last Monday called for immediate investigation into the incident and seeking for justice for the victims.

According to Prince Chigozie Nweke;

“We have been following the roles played by our two hardworking governors in the persons of Gov Charles Soludo and Gov Ogbonnaya Nwaifuru of Anambra and Ebony states respectively and we the members of the Association of Non Indigenes In Anambra State ANIAS express our certification over that ”

“We also commend a member of the Association’s Elders Council Chief Moses Ofoke for taking bold and decisive steps in reaching out to the Ebony Community in the state and acting as a liaison between the two governors in quelling the excavating situation”

Continuing Nweke noted that the Anambra state Police Commissioner Ikioye Orutugu has once again proven that he is in charge of security operations in the state by carrying out deep and speedy investigation into the incident which has led to the arrest of one suspect who we gathered is a member of the meeting but was not at the meeting on that fateful evening.

“We salute the Commissioner of Police Ikioye Orutugu as well as the officers and men of the Command for their swift and decisive response which has once again shown that the Police in Anambra state is working” he noted .

Nweke however sued for a joint and combined efforts of the Service Commanders and the Agunechemba Security Squad in apprehending other suspects nothing that the killers may still be at large within the area in question.
