Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has dropped a political bombshell on American soil, declaring that 99.99 percent of criminals arrested in Anambra are not Fulani, but Igbo!

Speaking boldly at a town hall meeting with Ndi Anambra residents in the United States, Soludo dismantled what he called a dangerous and false narrative blaming Fulani herdsmen for the wave of violence sweeping across the Southeast.

According to the Governor, the so-called “liberators” hiding in the forests are homegrown criminals feeding fat on blood money.

“Ask yourselves, how do these so-called liberators survive in the forest for months?” he queried.

“In my three years and three months in office, 99.99% of the kidnappers and other criminals we’ve arrested are Igbo. Let’s stop the lies. Igbos are kidnapping and killing fellow Igbos — not Fulani.”

The explosive comments were made at the Metro Point Hotel in New Carrollton, Maryland, during an interactive session attended by Anambra indigenes from across the U.S. and Canada.

Flanked by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Governor Soludo delivered a no-holds-barred account of his administration’s achievements and challenges. He highlighted strides in infrastructure, education reforms, health care delivery, youth empowerment, and security.

“Anambra belongs to all of us. Our progress is a shared responsibility,” he told the gathering, urging the diaspora to invest in the homeland and contribute their skills and resources to its growth.

Also in attendance was Nigeria’s Charge d’Affaires in Washington, D.C., Ambassador Samson Itegboje, who emphasized the crucial role of diaspora engagement in national development.

A lively question-and-answer session followed, during which Governor Soludo fielded tough questions on governance and security. His responses drew loud applause, with many attendees praising his candour and performance in office.

“He’s the most transparent and development-focused governor we’ve had,” one enthusiastic participant said. “At least he’s telling the truth — even if it’s uncomfortable.”

By the end of the evening, one thing was clear: Ndi Anambra in America are backing Soludo — and they’re ready to do more.
