Bursar of Ekwulobia Diocese’s Immaculate Conception International College Laid to Rest Amidst Tears

Tears flowed freely last Friday, August 8, 2025, as the remains of the late Mrs Chidiebere Martina Uwaezu-Enemuo, were laid to rest at her husband’s country home, Amaezike Village, Agulu, Anaocha LGA, Anambra State.
The interment was after a concelebrated burial Mass held at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Agulu, and led by an Agulu indigenous Catholic priest, Rev Fr Cajethan Obiekezie.
Late Mrs Chidiebere Martina Uwaezu-Enemuo, fondly known as Auntie Chidiebere, was until her sudden and saddened death on July 5, 2025, the bursar of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia-owned Immaculate Conception International College (ICIC), Umuchukwu, Orumba South LGA, Anambra State.
Goodness Media gathered that the deceased who served the Church through her institutions for 19 years, had with diligence, hard work, committed dedication and friendly demeanour, served as bursar, Holy Child Secondary School, Isuofia, Aguata LGA, Anambra State, 2006-2014; bursar, St Mary’s High School, Ifitedunu, Dunukofia LGA Anambra State, 2014-2020 and bursar, Immaculate Conception International College (ICIC), Umuchukwu, Orumba South LGA,. Anambra State, 2020-till her death.
In his remarks at the burial Mass, the Principal of Immaculate Conception International College (ICIC), Umuchukwu, Rev Fr Jude Ifeanyichukwu Onebunne, who the late Chidiebere worked with in school administration for almost two decades, described the deceased as one who spent her entire life in service to God, and for the welfare of the students and their parents.
The visibly saddened Fr Onebunne, appreciated all who joined in the Holy Mass for the repose of the soul of the deceased for their goodwill. He prayed God to grant the soul of the late Chidiebere eternal rest in heaven.
Earlier in his homily during the concelebrated burial Mass, a former parish priest of St Patrick’s Parish, Agulu, Very Rev Fr Dr Ignatius Nnaemeka Onwuatuegwu, eulogised the late Chidiebere as a very intelligent lady, a quintessential mother and a woman of integrity, who, he said, was outstanding with a resilience spirit.
Pointing out that Chidiebere was a happy soul who smiled always, even unto death, Rev Fr Onwuatuegwu, noted that the deceased would be greatly missed by all who came in contact with her.
He condoled with the bereaved families of Uwaezu and Enemuo as well as Rev Fr Jude Onebunne and the entire students, staff and parents of Immaculate Conception International College, Umuchukwu over the loss. This was even as he prayed God to grant the soul of late Chidiebere eternal rest.
The late Auntie Chidiebere, who was also a devout Catholic and a commited chorister was survived by her aged mum; her siblings, her husband, Mr Donatus Enemuo; her step daughter and other relations.
