The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, Sir Paul Chukwuma, says, he is not afraid of anything concerning the November 8 election despite campaigns of calumny against him by some opponents.
Chukwuma said there is confusion in Anambra state over insecurity, saying that though the security agencies in the state are doing enough to tackle the situation, but the government assembled “Agunechemba” is doing everything to mess the residents up
Smartly dressed and displaying air of confidence, declared, ” I’m ready for this election in November 8. I don’t want to listen to gossips or what the people in power in the state are saying, I’m only focused on the journey ”
Briefing reporters Monday in his Umueri country home, Anambra East local government area, the former All Progressives Congress APC national Auditor, was confident that he will win the governorship election
“I’m in the race to win the election and not to run a comedy show. I’ve come to fix Anambra state come March 2026. I will be Governor, no amount of blackmail of campaign of calumny will stop that ”
He maintained that he is committed in his plans to granting full autonomy to the local government system,the judiciary, and the legislature in Anambra State if elected in office by the masses.
Chukwuma further assured of deploying security votes to ensure the protection of lives and property across the state, lamenting the incessant killings and kidnappings in the state under the present administration in the state
“I won’t interfere with local government autonomy and funding. Security votes will be deployed strictly to secure lives and property of Ndi Anambra. All revenues generated will be done legally and applied to the development of the state.
“Anambra has been on lockdown under the present administration. The people have been living in bondage, but joy is coming ” Chukwuma said
