The development model championed by the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has delivered a brand new primary health centre in Nawfia community in Njikoka Local Government Area.
Soludo has for long been an advocate of Public-Private-Community-Partnership (PPCP), as a model of development for the state, without relying on the government.
This is coming as Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in the state recently took the initiative to build a new PHC in Ward 1 through her own contributions and those of her friends.
Nnake’s initiative however bore fruits as upon completion of the facility, the government of Prof. Soludo quickly equipped it, hiring staff to man the facility. This was after the community had previously donated the land for the facility.
Special Adviser to the governor, Dr Ejimofor Opara who disclosed this said on October 23, 2025, Nnake handed over the keys of the facility to the government, and the Anambra State Government.
Ejimofor said: “Government has swiftly equipped and staffed the facility. The community also played a vital role by providing the land for the structure.
“This is a shining example of Governor Soludo’s Public-Private-Community-Partnership (PPCP) in action. The handover was followed by a 2-day free medical outreach, touching lives and bringing hope to the people.
“This is what leadership is all about – taking responsibility, mobilizing the people, and getting things done,” he said.
