Soludo Welcomes UNIZIK VC Prof. Bond Anyaehie, Commends Transparent Selection Process

The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, has praised the transparent process that led to the appointment of Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Anyaehie as the seventh Substantive Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka.
Governor Soludo made the remarks while hosting Prof. Bond at the Governor’s Lodge on Sunday, 23rd November 2025.
He said that after reviewing the Vice-Chancellor’s impressive curriculum vitae, there is no doubt that he is the right person to lead the university to greater heights. The Governor also warmly welcomed Prof. Bond to Anambra State.
He urged individuals interested in public service to emulate the transparency and integrity demonstrated in Prof. Bond’s selection as UNIZIK’s seventh Substantive Vice-Chancellor.

At a press briefing in Abuja, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Olugbenga Kukoyi, announced Prof. Bond Anyaehie’s appointment, describing the process as “thorough and transparent.”
“I am pleased to announce Professor Bond Anyaehie as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University after a thorough and transparent process,” Kukoyi said.
