
Igbo Community Association in Abuja has announced that it will hold its prayers to open the year 2026 on February 14, 2026.
The event which is titled: “ekpere nmepe aho” will hold at Old Parade Grounds, Garki, Abuja by 2pm.
In a press release signed by Engr Ikenna Ellis-Ezenekwe the President General and Emmanuel Chinwoke Onah the Secretary General enjoined all to come.
The release read: “The Igbo Community Association FCT cordially invites all Nigerians to join us for a solemn prayer session, “Ekpere Nmepe Aho”, as we seek God’s blessings, guidance, and intervention for our beloved nation, Nigeria.
“In a world filled with challenges and uncertainties, we recognize the importance of seeking divine direction and wisdom for our leaders, communities, and nation. This prayer session aims to bring together people of goodwill to intercede for Nigeria’s prosperity, peace, and progress”
The Prayer Focus for the event included:
– End to marginalization and inequitable distribution of resources
– Eradication of corruption, nepotism, and governance failures
– Wisdom, integrity, and transparency for our leaders
– Peace, security, and stability in all regions of Nigeria
– Economic growth, prosperity, and improved livelihoods for all Nigerians
