A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, has strongly criticised a London-based protester, identified as Chido A.A., over his conduct at a recent town hall meeting addressed by Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo.

Obigwe, who is the National Coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors Forum, in a statement issued on Friday, condemned what he described as a repeated pattern of disruptive behaviour by the individual during the Governor’s engagements abroad.

According to him, “Chido A.A repeating exactly what he did in 2025 in 2026 at Governor Soludo’s town hall meeting in London has clearly shown that his madness has entered Eke Awka market.”

The APGA stalwart said he had viewed a viral video of the incident circulating on social media and carried out independent enquiries into the identity and background of the protester.

“I watched a video being circulated on social media platforms by one Chido A.A who parades himself as the convener of ‘Hungry and Angry People’ in London and made enquiries about him,” Obigwe stated.

“From my enquiries, I discovered that he did exactly the same thing in 2025 and, in fact, he is seen in London as an incurable lunatic that is in dire need of help,” he added.

Defending the Governor’s disposition, Obigwe dismissed claims in some quarters that Charles Soludo is arrogant, insisting that such characterisation is unfounded.

“One thing about Governor Soludo is that you cannot exhibit madness in his front. Many people have laboured in vain to tag him as an arrogant man and failed because he is not,” he said.

“Being intolerant of foolishness does not mean that the person is arrogant. To the best of my knowledge, Governor Soludo is a jolly good fellow that is down to earth, but the only red line you must not cross is exhibition of foolishness in his front,” Obigwe added.

He further commended the organisers of the London town hall meeting for what he described as effective security arrangements, noting that the situation was handled appropriately.

“After watching that video, I concluded that the organisers of the London town hall meeting deserve commendation. The security arrangement for that event is top-notch and I doff my cap for the organisers,” he stated.

Obigwe also praised Anambra Deputy Governor, Ernest Ezeajughi, for his conduct during the incident.

“I was very happy to see His Honour Ernest Ezeajughi in his true form in that video. Watching that video made people see the no-nonsense side of him and I am very happy for that,” he said.

On governance, the APGA chieftain defended the Soludo administration’s infrastructure drive, particularly in road construction across Anambra State.

“The foolish Chido attempted to downplay Governor Soludo’s administration massive road construction in Anambra,” he said, adding that such criticism ignores the realities on ground.

“Governor Soludo did not just prioritise road construction because he wants to do that. He took that decision as a result of the passionate appeal made to him by Anambra people during the 2021 electioneering campaign,” Obigwe explained.

He noted that the declaration of a state of emergency on roads by the Governor has begun to yield visible results.

“That state of emergency he declared on Anambra roads is what the people of the state are currently seeing the resultant effects,” he added.

Obigwe concluded by reaffirming APGA’s support for the Governor, describing his administration as transformative.

“The best thing that has happened to Anambra people since the inception of our state creation is Governor Soludo, and the people of our state will continue supporting him to complete the good work his administration is doing,” he said.
