Anambra State Police Commissioner, Echeng Echeng, has has decorated eight Senior Police Officers recently promoted by the Inspector General of Police Baba Alkali
He therefore, charged them to fight insecurity headlong anywhere they are posted.
He said insecurity in Nigeria is giving the security operatives sleepless nights and must be the priority of every security operative.
While decorating the newly promoted Officers, he told them it was the reason, the Inspector General of Police, Baba Alkali and the Police Service Commission were not playing Politics with their promotions.
The senior officers were decorated at the Police headquarters in Awka, Anambra State Thursday by the Commissioner of Police, Echeng Echeng and assisted by other senior officers
Six Assistant Commissioners of Police have been promoted and decorated as deputy Commissioners of Police in Anambra State.
Also, three other Chief Supritendents of Police were equally promoted to Assistant Commissioners in the State .
The newly promoted deputy Commissioners decorated were, Peter Ezebuike, Sylvester Edogbanya, Festus Irorere, Edwin Egbughagha and Arikpo Ikpi, while the remaining officer was on course
The newly decorated Assistant Commissioners decorated by the CP, were Remigus Ekuri, Rafiu Adebayo and Mathew Okafor .
Speaking further to the newly promoted Officers, yesterday, Echeng charged them to be good Ambassadors of the profession in their respective areas of service.
He reminded them that the country was battling serious security challenges, adding that they should focus their attention towards getting it right where ever they found themselves.
