Amanuke Youths holds prayers for man who died during Super Eagles match

Youths of Amanuke community in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Friday gathered to hold prayers for late Chief Osondu Nwoye.

Nwoye, the chairman of Auto Promotion Limited, a foremost motor spare parts company based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast had reportedly slumped and died, while watching the Nigeria versus South Africa match.

He was said to have journeyed from Abidjan to Boake in the same country to watch the game before his death.

In Anambra, youths of Amanuke in Awka North Local Government Area gathered at their village square to mourn him and also prayed that such would not occur again in the community.

A youth of the community, Chukwualuka Nnamekwue said: “We gathered to mourn our illustrious son, Chief Osondu Nwoye, owner of Auto Promotion.

“We also prayed that such would not be fall our community again. Ozoemena which we prayed means let another not happen.”

The youths made bonfire in the square, danced round in, making chants and praying.

THE RAZOR gathered that before his death, Chief Nwoye was a prominent son of the community, and engaged in massive philanthropy, helping youths of the community.
