Anambra 2025: You will come distant 3rd, APGA mocks LP

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has predicted that the Labour Party (LP) will come distant third in the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.

The National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, said this in a statement in Awka, the Anambra State capital,on Thursday

Anambra State Chapter of the Labour Party( LP) had on Wednesday said that nemesis would catch up with the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, for working against the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the 2023 general elections.

The State Chairman of Labour Party, Chief Ugochukwu Emeh, who stated this at a press conference in Awka, recalled that Soludo had in the buildup to the 2023 general elections authored an epistle titled: ‘History beckons and I will not be silent (1) wherein he amongst other things dissuaded Ndigbo and others from voting for Peter Obi.

Emeh said Soludo did not stop at that, but he ( Soludo)went further to work tirelessly to frustrate Obi in that race.

Apparently reacting to the development,
the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, said the Anambra electorate would vote overwhelmingly for Governor Soludo because of the good works he had done in the 21 LGA of Anambra State.

Obigwe’s statement read in part,”When you hear Tony Nwoye and Ugochukwu Emeh talk about what they will do and what will happen in Anambra during the 2025 governorship election, you will end up concluding that both of them are aliens dwelling in deceit.

“As long as the reality of what is happening in Anambra today is concerned, Labour Party will score a distant 3rd position in the 2025 governorship election.Tony Nwoye and Ugochukwu Emeh resort to peddling gossips will not be of any help for Labour Party in that election.

“Anambra electorate will vote overwhelmingly for Governor Soludo because of the good works he is doing in the 21 LGA of Anambra State.

Stating Soludo’s achievements, Obigwe said, “For the first time in the history of Anambra creation, a Governor is delivering dividends of good governance to Anambra people across the 21 local government areas within a short space of two years in office.

“Some people used their first tenure to learn the ropes, but in the case of Governor Soludo, he hit the ground running from the first day he was sworn into office.

Çontinuing, Obigwe said,” Governor Soludo is also empowering our youths for them to be able to take care of their needs.He had provided more than 10,000 jobs for Ndi Anambra in a short space of two years.

“Our pregnant women are now going to government hospitals to enjoy Governor Soludo free antenatal and delivery services initiative.”

The APGA media chief said even the kinsmen of Soludo’s detractors were beneficiaries of the governor’s largesse spread across the state.

He added,”The things Governor Soludo is doing in Anambra are rare to see in other states and Africa at large. He is obviously making a commendable difference and showing that governance is avenue of touching people’s lives and making positive impact in our society.”
