The Anambra state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has elected three senatorial, 27 House of representatives and 27 House of Assembly candidates for the 2027 general elections.
Also, the party has mobilized its members for the Direct Presidential primary election to elect Mr President,Asiwaju Bola Tinubu tomorrow at the 326 Wards in the state
Briefing reporters Friday at the party’s Secretariat in Awka, the state chairman, Senator Emma Anosike, said all members of the State Executive council of the party will be in the Wards to make sure everything goes fine.
According to Anosike, “We have just concluded a major assignment of electing our representatives for the elections and it went well.
” It shows we are on ground and ready for the 2027 election. It was credible and fair,even the ones that lost, went home happy”
The chairman, however,commended the primary election committee that came to Anambra for a good job, adding that APC is an organized political party, the reason, everyone is striving to join.
“We are going to mobilize all our members for President Bola Tinubu tomorrow, (Saturday )for the Direct primary election and every EXCO member will all be in the field.
” We want to use this opportunity to thank Imo state governor, Chief Hope Uzodinma, who is the one that feeds us with feeding bottle knowing full well we are orphans in Anambra state” Anosike said
He said that every Ward in the state is the election centre.APC is an organized party, adding ,”it’s the responsibility of the election committee to declare result, not the duty of the state chairman.
“It is the responsibility of the National Working Committee ,NWC to make available the list of candidates, so,we are waiting for the list.”
Anosike, maintained that those members who dragged the party to court remain expelled.
