Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress APC, Sunday, gathered st the party’s state Secretariat in Awka,to welcome their new state in Anambra state, Chief Ifeanyichukwu Osegbo.
The party members were singing and dancing armed with the party’s flags, while praising the doggedness and leadership acumen of their new helmsman
And without waisting time,Osegbo swung into action by setting up three different committees to drive the party forward ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He announced the new committees as ,Truth and reconciliation, strategy and tactical, alongside Election planning and winning committees.
It was the first time the new APC leadership is meeting with the stakeholders, after a long Court battle at Abuja over party’s primaries.
Addressing the unprecedented crowd,Osegbo, said the era bickering and disunity in the state party had come to an end.
He added that the main priority of APC right now was to give the reelection of President Bola Tinubu a massive mobilization.
According to the new chairman,” as from today, the winning mentality of APC has started in this state,we will begin by going to the grassroots for Mr President’s reelection.
“We are not going to allow our party’s candidates in their areas to suffer,we are going to help them to achieve victory.
“Let me acknowledge the sacrifices made by the former chairman of the party, Chief Basil Ejidike in repositioning the party in the state.
“Our challenges are enormous but not insurmountable. These committees are for unity and peace. We are not going to leave anyone out. It is a moment of sacrifice” Osegbo said
He maintained that APC was built on accountability, adding that the new regime would continue to toe same line, noting that the era of secrecy in the affairs of the party had gone.
However,he appealed to all the members to continue to support the party as they march towards 2027 general elections, adding that the party was determined to deliver it’s candidates, alongside Mr President with massive votes during the elections
