The Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS) has issued a seven-day final demand notice to park owners and managers across the state, directing them to ensure that all transport operators within their parks settle outstanding government-approved commercial operational fees or face enforcement action.

The notice, dated July 28, 2026, warned that the revenue agency would begin enforcement against defaulters immediately after the expiration of the seven-day deadline.

The notice was signed by Dr Ndubuisi Achebe, FCA, for the Executive Chairman of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service.

According to the circular, addressed to all park owners and managers, AIRS said the directive was aimed at recovering outstanding government revenue owed by transport operators.

“The Anambra State Internal Revenue Service hereby issues this Final Demand Notice to all Park Owners and Managers, directing them to ensure that all transport operators operating within their respective parks pay all outstanding government-approved commercial operational fees within seven days from the date of receipt of this notice,” the agency stated.

AIRS charged park owners and managers to immediately notify transport operators under their supervision and ensure full compliance within the stipulated period.
The agency warned that failure to comply would trigger enforcement measures without further notice.

It stated that the enforcement would be carried out in line with relevant laws and could include the imposition of penalties and other lawful sanctions against defaulters.

“You are therefore advised to treat this notice with utmost urgency and ensure full compliance to avoid unnecessary inconvenience to your tenants and businesses operating within your parks,” the notice read.

AIRS also appealed for the cooperation of stakeholders, saying voluntary tax compliance remained critical to improving internally generated revenue for the development of Anambra State.
