The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has taken a swipe on the 2017
deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Chief Dozie Ikedife for mocking the Dubai-Taiwan agenda of the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.

Ikedife had in a comment recently said Soludo vowed to turn Anambra to Dubai, Taiwan but he could not afford to achieve the development status of Abakiliki for the state.

Ikedife is the son of the late reverred President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo ( Worldwide), Dr Dozie Ikedife.

Reacting to the development, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, in a statement made available to our correspondent, said Ikedife’s derogatory remarks about Soludo should be disregarded by the people of the state as the governor’s works speak for themselves.

Obigwe said, “The person that issued the referred press release is inconsequential politically.

“I remember vividly that in 2017, he contested the election as deputy governorship candidate of APC but was unable to win his ward and local government.

“He only specialises in talking flippantly but does not have a single electoral value.

Continuing, Obigwe said, “What he( Ikedife) said about Governor Soludo in the referred press release portrayed him as a Journey Just Come( JJC) that does not know about the ongoing massive transformation of our state.

“If he should go to some places in Anambra to say the things he said in the press release openly to the ears of people, he will be disgraced by the masses.

Obigwe maintained that “In Anambra today, people are testifying about the good work Governor Soludo is doing in all sectors of governance.

“So for ikedife jnr to say what he said about Governor Soludo in that press release is a mere resort to childish propaganda that will not fetch him any political point.

“Every keen observer of ikedife jnr will tell you that he is a disappointment to the highly respected Dozie ikedife of blessed memory and he is also a disappointment to the good people of Nnewi.

“He does not have character and that made lots of people not to be taking him seriously. I know very well that he is an everything goes human being and can do anything to pick crumbs from the tables.

“It is said that the sweetest fruit is thrown the highest stone and Governor Soludo remains that sweetest fruit.

“This is a Governor that turned Anambra into a massive road construction sites with the execution of about 500kilometer road projects in the 21 LGA of Anambra State within a short space of 2years in office; a governor that introduced free antenatal and free delivery services for our women in Anambra; a governor that gave Anambra Children free education from primary to JSS3, a Governor that created more than 10thousand jobs in Anambra State, empowered 5thousand Youths with skill acquisition and seed money to start up their own business.

“Governor Soludo has done marvellously well within a short space of 2years to the extent that Anambra people are saying that if his 2years can be like this that by the time he completes 8years in office that Anambra will turn into the best state in Nigeria and Africa at large.

Obigwe said,”The truth is that Governor Soludo has redefined governance in Anambra State and he gave Anambra tax payers value for their money because they are seeing the tax they are paying being utilised for the development of their State.

“Ikedife jnr made mockery of himself with the things he said against Governor Soludo in the referred press release but what I have to tell him is that he should stop wasting his time in a futile mission of blackmailing Governor Soludo and projecting the dead on arrival governorship ambition because there is no vacancy in Anambra State government House till 2030”.
