At Last! Anambra Govt Ejects Scavengers at Amawbia-Nise Road Hausa Quarters

Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim on Saturday, 30th April, 2022, ordered squatters constituting environmental nuisance along Nise / Amawbia road, to evacuate from their illegal accommodations from where they engage in scavenging activities thereby constituting serious environmental nuisance in the area.

The Deputy Governor, explained that the squatters, who engage in scavenging from the refuse dump opposite Hausa Quarters, Amawbia are encouraging irresponsible dumping of refuse in the location in other to pick recyclable materials from the illegal refuse dump.

He assured of immediate evacuation of the refuse from the illegal dump sites and warned those breaking the law to desist.
