Journalist and publisher of 247ureports.com, Mr Ikenna Ezenekwe has been released from detention after 10 days of being locked up.

Ezenekwe was arrested by men of the IGP monitoring squad on the order of the former Chief of staff to former governor, Chief Willie Obiano over a story published by his outfit.

While in detention, Ikenna was instead of being charged to court, coarsed to reveal the source of the information he published, which he refused.

Ikenna was released on Friday evening at about 5pm on bail, after he was asked to retract the published information.

He told THE RAZOR NEWS that he had first been asked to retract the published story about seven days back, but was later abandoned in cell, until Friday evening when he was released.
