August Meeting: Oba Ezeafia Urges Women to Support One Another, Promote Peace, Unity

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for the Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency, Chief Barr. Prince Chukwudi Oli, has urged women to shun divisions among themselves and promote peace, unity and good moral values in their homes and the wider society.

Oli, popularly known as Oba Ezeafia, made the call at the annual August meeting of the Enugwu-Ukwu women held at Obu Umunri Hall at the weekend.

He described women as pillars of the family and key agents of peace and social transformation, urging them to use their positions to foster understanding, tolerance and love in their homes.

According to him, peaceful families are the foundation of peaceful and progressive communities.

Oli also urged the women to serve as good examples to their children, saying that children largely learn from the conduct and character they witness at home.

He listed respect, honesty, discipline, kindness and love among the values mothers should instil in their children to enable them to grow into responsible citizens.

The APGA candidate cautioned the women against unnecessary divisions, urging them to support one another and remain united.

He said a united womenfolk could positively influence families and contribute significantly to the peace and development of the community.

Oli commended the women for sustaining the annual August meeting, describing it as an important platform for strengthening relationships, preserving cultural values and addressing issues affecting families and community development.

Oli urged the women to remain ambassadors of peace in their homes, churches and the wider society, stressing that the future of every community depended largely on the values instilled in the family.

The gathering was attended by the traditional ruler of Enugwu-Ukwu, HRH Igwe Sir Ralph Ekpeh, who commended Oli for identifying with the women and supporting the community.

Ekpeh prayed for Oli and bestowed his royal blessing on him, wishing him success in his endeavours and continued service to the people.
