All Progressives Grand Alliance has announced the schedule for the screening of aspirants seeking the party’s nomination for National Assembly and Anambra State House of Assembly positions ahead of the 2026 primary elections.
In a public notice issued by the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, APGA stated that the screening exercise for National Assembly aspirants, including those contesting for Senate and House of Representatives seats, will hold on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the party’s National Headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory.
The notice was signed by Ejimofor Opara, National Publicity Secretary of APGA, and dated May 9, 2026.
According to the notice, the screening is scheduled to commence at 10 a.m. prompt.
The party further disclosed that aspirants for the Anambra State House of Assembly will be screened on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the APGA Regional Office in Awka, Anambra State, also by 10 a.m.
APGA said only members of the screening committee and duly cleared aspirants would be granted access to the screening venues, warning supporters, aides and associates to stay away in order to ensure orderliness during the exercise.
The party also directed all aspirants to appear in person with the original copies of their highest academic qualifications for verification by the screening committee, stressing that photocopies would not be accepted in place of originals.
In the notice, APGA emphasized that the screening exercise would be conducted free of charge, cautioning aspirants against making payments to any individual or committee under any guise.
“Any demand for payment should be reported immediately to the National Secretariat,” the statement said.
The party added that screening schedules for aspirants from states outside Anambra would be communicated later through official party channels.
