NDE begins registration of unemployed persons in Anambra for National Planning

The National Directorate of Employment, (NDE) has commenced the registration of unemployed persons in the 21 local government areas of Anambra State for national planning purposes.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday in Awka, the Anambra state capital the State Coordinator of NDE, Mrs.Chika Ufelle said the registration exercise was sequel to a request by the federal government to enable it have full statistics of the unemployed youths in the country for national planning.

Ufelle said the registration exercise was scheduled to commence from Monday 17th April, 2023 and would end on Friday 5th May, 2023.

She said those living within Awka and its environ should endeavour to register at the NDE Anambra State Office, Plot 267 Christian Nwokoye Street Marryland Estate, Amawbia.

She said others were expected to register at their various local government headquarters or any local government Secretariat nearest to them.

The State Coordinator enjoined the unemployed persons in the state to take advantage of the opportunity to benefit from the exercise as the federal government had shown demonstrable commitment to change the narrative.
