Easter: Paul Chukwuma gives hope, tasks leaders on people’s welfare

The Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University Burundi ,Paul Chukwuma, has assured citizens of hope, stating that the prevailing obstacles will be surmounted.

He implored everyone to reflect on the significance of sacrifice and service to others, while urging everyone to acknowledge the importance of resilience and perseverance which he said were the virtues essential for overcoming challenges.

Chukwuma stated these in his Easter message to the people of Anambra State made available to our correspondent on Sunday.

He tasked leaders in politics to prioritise the welfare of the people above personal interests and work to uplift the marginalized and create opportunities for every Nigerian to thrive.

The businessman and politician said,
“As we commemorate the death and resurrection of our lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, l urge you to acknowledge the importance of resilience and perseverance, virtues essential for overcoming the surmountable challenges facing our nation.

” Easter serves as a joyful conclusion to the Lenten season of prayer, fasting and penitence.

“I pray that we see this period as one to renew hope and belief in our country. Let us draw inspiration from the message of Easter to unite as a people and strive towards a future where justice, equality, and prosperity prevail.”

“I implore everyone to reflect on the significance of sacrifice and service to others. As leaders in politics, let us prioritise the welfare of the people above personal interests and work tirelessly to uplift the marginalized and create opportunities for every Nigerian to thrive.

“While we formulate policies for the development of our dear nation, let empathy and compassion guide our decisions, ensuring that no one is left behind in our pursuit of national development.

Continuing, Chukwuma said,”It is my earnest prayer that this year’s Easter celebration will be a catalyst for fostering dialogue, understanding, and cooperation amongst Ndi Anambra.

“I am aware that by transcending partisan interests and embracing a spirit of collaboration, we can surmount the obstacles hindering our progress and build an Anambra that fulfils the aspirations of every citizen. Together, let us forge ahead with renewed determination, committed to building a state of peace, prosperity, and unity.

“On behalf of my family, I wish Ndi Anambra a memorable Easter celebration.”
