Former Commonwealth boss, Anyaoku leads delegation to Umeh’s daughter’s wedding

The wedding of Chidimma Uzoamaka Umeh, daughter of Senator Victor Umeh, to Obinna Cyril Ifeanyi, was a grand affair that drew dignitaries from across the country.

The ceremony, held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Victoria Island, Lagos, was presided over by the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor.

A high-powered delegation led by former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, attended the wedding. Other notable guests included Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio; Lagos State Governor, HE Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Abia State Governor, HE Dr. Alex Otti; former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi; and former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

The ceremony was also attended by top business leaders, including the CEO of Airpeace Airlines, Barr. Allen Ifechukwu Onyema; CEO of United Nigeria Airlines, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo; and GMD/CEO of Zenith Bank, Dame Adaora Umeoji. Over 30 members of the National Assembly and State Assemblies were also in attendance.

The wedding was a testament to the bride’s father, Senator Victor Umeh’s, influence and reputation, drawing guests from Anambra, Lagos, and beyond.

The ceremony was a beautiful blend of tradition and culture, with the bride and groom exchanging vows in a packed church.

The wedding reception, held at a luxurious venue in Victoria Island, was a celebration of love, family, and friendship, with guests enjoying good food, music, and company.

The newlyweds were showered with gifts and well-wishes as they began their new life together.
