Fun seekers have destroyed properties in a hotel in Oko, following the unavailability of popular comedian and skit maker, Sabinus in a scheduled show.

A source said that the comedian was booked for a show, and was paid in full the sum of N2million and his business class flight ticket paid for, but he refused to show up at the event.

It was learnt that Sabinus was to perform on Thursday, but had failed to attend the event, and has not picked calls from the show promoter who booked him for the event.

Angry students and other fun seekers who had paid to be at the show to watch Sabinus perform got angry and have destroyed properties including chairs belonging to the hotel where the event was to hold.

A student of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Mr Iyke Orji who claimed to be at the show said: “Our award winning skit marker Mrfunny (AKA Sabinus) has scammed Oko Poly people.

“He was supposed to be in a show yesterday in Oko, he charged MC crazy N2 Million for the show, and he was paid in full and his ticket (flight) of about 300k paid.

“He (Sabinus) complained of flight delay and another ticket was booked for him, his hotel accomodations and other logistics were paid for, but Sabinus never showed up at that show.

“He hasn’t attended to anyone ever since then, nor picked any call. Guys that invested in the event are destroying chairs and speakers angrily.”
