Igba ka Igba’ boys shoot Keke operator, protesters ask Soludo to warn him [VIDEO]

Keke drivers plying Unizik to Ifite Isu junction have decried alleged high-handedness of vigilante operatives attached to the Commissioner for Homeland Affairs, Chief Chikodili Anarah, popularly known as Igba ka Igba Amanuke.

This followed a recent attack on a keke driver by members of vigilante operatives attached to the Commissioner on a Keke driver along Ifite Isu junction where the vigilante operatives, known as Igba ka Igba boys shot at the keke driver,as well as caused other damages to the tricycle including breaking the windscreen.

An eye witness who is also a Keke driver, Sunday Okagu said the vigilante operatives did not have any reason to attack the keke driver.

He wondered why Anambra State government would release arms to people who where not properly trained to manage such.

He described the action of the vigilante operatives as unwarranted and unprovoked aggressiion and enjoined the Anambra State government to ensure that the only release guns and ammunition to people who are mentally capable of handling such and not to trigger-happy youths who did not have any form of professional training.

Also speaking, another eye witness who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the Keke driver who was attacked did not do anything to warrant the level beating he received and the damage to his tricycle, noting that vigilante operatives attached to Igba ka Igba Amanuke usually behaved like cultists on rampage and called on the appropriate authorities to rein them in.

On his part another victim of such attack who identified himself as Somtoo regretted that the day the said Vigilante operatives attached to igba ka Igba Amanuke attacked him they also damaged his keke causing him to incure unforseen expenses.

He wondered wheather Anambra State had become a jungle where the armed survive Others called for sanity amd proper training for vigilante operatives before arms could be handed to them.

Narrating his ordeal on viral video, the Keke driver said his offence was that he overtook the vehicle carrying the Commissioner in a tight corner because of an incoming articulated vehicle.

He said, ” I had to take the action to overtake the Commissioner’s vehicle to avoid possibe accident because of the incoming articulated vehicle in a very tight corner.
” I was surprised when Commissioner’s boys descended on me and rough handled and shot at my Keke.
