Kamen Chuks Ogbonna, a key figure in the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s camp, has thrown his weight behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s reelection bid.
Speaking at the International Convention Centre in Awka on April 8, 2025, Ogbonna expressed his support for the incumbent governor, citing Soludo’s remarkable achievements and innovative governance style.
Ogbonna announced the end of opposition in Anambra State, signaling a new era of unity and collaboration between the Ubah Political Family and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
He praised Soludo’s transformative leadership, highlighting notable accomplishments in infrastructure development, security, and economic growth.
“Your innovative strides—the roads that stretch like arteries of progress, the security that restores peace to our nights, the economic blueprints that awaken hope—are not mere policies; they are the poetry of governance,” Ogbonna said.
He commended Soludo for tackling fake traditional medicine practitioners, a move that has helped reduce insecurity in the southeast region.
“You solved the puzzle surrounding insecurity in the southeast by going after the fake Dibias and Ndi Ezenwanyi,” Ogbonna stated.
He also noted that other states in the southeast are following Soludo’s example by embarking on the registration of genuine traditional medicine practitioners to identify and prosecute fake ones.
Ogbonna revealed that the Ubah Nation Media Centre will serve as a platform to amplify Soludo’s achievements and promote his vision for Anambra State.
“The Ubah Nation Media Centre, with its reach and resonance, will become your trumpet, proclaiming the gospel of the Solution Governor to every village, every town, every soul in Anambra,” he said.
Ogbonna also paid tribute to the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, saying his legacy lives on through the Ubah Political Family’s decision to support Soludo’s reelection bid.
“The late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, our guiding star, taught us to fight for what is right, to speak for the voiceless, to build where others destroy,” Ogbonna recalled.
Ogbonna’s decision has significant implications for Anambra politics, as it marks a shift in the balance of power in the state.
The Ubah Political Family’s support for Soludo’s reelection bid could galvanize further backing from other influential groups and individuals.
In his concluding remarks, Ogbonna appealed to Governor Soludo to find a way to immortalize the memory of the late Ebubechukwu Uzo Nnewi, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Patrick Nwa Onye Nkuzi Ubah. “Together, we are Anambra.
Together, we are the Solution,” Ogbonna declared.
