Stop playing God, APGA tells Senator Tony Nwoye

By Our correspondent

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has admonished the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Tony Nwoye, to stop playing God about the 2025 governorship poll in the state.

The party enjoined the Senator to be ready to attend second term inauguration ceremony of the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.

National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, gave the admonition in a statement made available to our correspondent on Monday.

Obigwe, who was reacting to a recent statement attributed to Nwoye wherein the senator threatened Soludo’s reelection, accused Nwoye of always ranting.

Obigwe said, “I watched a video of Tony Nwoye ranting and boasting that Governor Soludo will not go for 2nd term and that Labour Party must take over Anambra State in 2025.

“He went as far as boasting that they will force Governor Soludo to conduct local government election.

“Honestly, Tony Nwoye is not supposed to be talking in public because he runs his mouth flippantly like someone suffering chronic diarrhoea of the mouth.

“This is a Senator that told Anambra north people that the road that leads from Anam to Kogi State have been included in the 2024 budget but investigation revealed that he lied.

“Tony Nwoye sounded like a broken record in the video I watched when he said that the reason Governor Soludo will not go for 2nd term is because he said that Peter Obi will not be President.

“All that Tony Nwoye said in that video is a cock and bull story.

“Tony Nwoye should stop playing God because his boast that Governor Soludo will not go for 2nd term is tantamount to him playing God.

“Ndi Anambra will not be swayed with cock and bull story.

“They will make the right choice of re electing Governor Soludo for a well deserved 2nd term in 2025 because it is said that one good turn deserves another.

Continuing, Obigwe said,”May be when Governor Soludo emerges winner of the 2025 governorship election, Tony Nwoye will jump into Omambala river because what he boasted that will never happen came to fruition.

“What Anambra electorate will use to judge Governor Soludo is the work he is doing in Anambra State. Tony Nwoye loves making noise.

“He made more than the noise he is making today in 2013 and 2017 but he still lost the election.

“Tony Nwoye will definitely bear witness to Governor Soludo victory in the 2025 governorship election.
