Anambra CP, Aderemi Adeoye, pledges support for A-WIN ahead of summit

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Aderemi Adeoye, has stated his readiness to support All for Women Initiative Nigeria, A-WIN ahead of their upcoming Summit with the Theme: “Gear Up Women, Aspire, Win”.

Mr. Adeoye gave the assurance when a delegation of A-WIN paid him a courtesy visit at the Command headquarters in Awka, Anambra State.

The Police Commissioner while receiving the delegation appreciated them for their partnership and support over the years, saying that the empowerment of any woman is the empowerment of the nation and made it known that the Command will key into such educative programmes to enlighten the people on security matters.

He assured the group of his support and that of the Command to achieve her drive and lofty vision of empowerment of women and the girl child for emancipation and to reduce the incidence of gender and child abuse in the country.

Briefing the Police Chief on the reasons for the visit, the Founder of A-WIN, Comrade Stella Igboka frowned at the status some women have been placed in the society, which has greatly contributed to their exposure to societal vices.
She, therefore invited the Police Commissioner as Guest Speaker at the Summit.

The Summit, scheduled to be held in Anambra State is part of A-WIN’s Advocacy mandate and contributions to commemoration of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration.

She also extolled the doggedness of Mr. Adeoye in crime fighting, ensuring that Ndi Anambra now sleep with their two eyes closed.
