The National Co-ordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has said the legacy projects of the Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has shown him as a leader with foresight.
He said the projects had silenced Obiano’s detractors who had doubted the feasibility of such facilities.
He said when Governor Obiano started the Anambra international cargo and passengers Airport project, doubting Thomas’s tagged the project a white elephant project that coukd be actualized.
Obigwe said this in a statement made available to our correspondent on Sunday in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
He said”The likes of former Governor Peter Obi and Valentine Obienyem that is his Chief propagandist referred to the execution of the Airport project as a waste of money because according to Peter Obi, the project is of no economic value hence the reason why he did not execute the project during his tenure.
“Well, with the news coming from Anambra international cargo and passengers Airport, I will tell those that referred to the project as a white elephant project to bury their heads in shame.
“Its a cheering and worthy of celebration news that within a month of flights operation that Anambra Airport recorded a total of 142 flights and 3865 passengers.
“In fact, many people are saying that in no distant time that Airports around Anambra cannot compete with that of Anambra Airport.
” Governor Obiano saw the need to do the Airport project and he knew very well that it will be beneficial to ndi Anambra.
“Today, that Obiano vision is being applauded by even those that called him names when he started the project.
He added, “Almost all the who is who in Anambra made use of the Airport this festive period.
“The only person that has not used the Airport is our self acclaimed Saint Peter Obi.
“His reason is obviously because he was among those that called Governor Obiano names when he started the project and he is now finding it difficult to swallow his vomits.
“If Andy Uba can swallow his vomits to shamefully make use of Anambra Airport, Peter Obi will definitely swallow his vomits one day to make use of the Airport.
THE STATEMENT CONTINUES:
Ndi Anambra are now enjoying the benefits of being blessed by God with a leader that has foresight like Governor Obiano.
People like me and many others that are Governor Obiano fanatical followers are so proud of him.
We are also happy that he succeeded in justifying the confidence reposed in him by Anambra electorates.
Another gift that Governor Obiano gave to ndi Anambra that will yield fruitful result for them is the gift of His Excellency Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo as his successor.
He is truly a wonderful gift and the belief out there is that he will not only consolidate Governor Obiano’s commendable achievements but that he will perform better than him.
Even Governor Obiano is singing it very loud to the ears of anybody that visits him that Soludo will perform better than him.
All that we owe Governor Obiano is prayers for him and his family to enjoy a stree free life out of office when his tenure ends on March 17th 2022.
As for Soludo, the expectation of people is very high. Infact, they are seeing him as a magician and want him to perform magic.
He also need our prayers for him to meet up the expectation of numerous fans and surpass the achievements of his predecessor.
