Okadigbo’s wife leads Tinubu’s campaign in Anambra

Margery Okadigbo, the wife of the former President of the Senate, the late Dr Chuba Okadigbo has been appointed the Presidential Campaign Coordinator of Tinubu/Shettima 2023 Presidential election in Anambra State.

Sequel to her appointment, she convened an all-inclusive Anambra State Stakeholders interactive session at the Barcelona Hotel Abuja.

In her opening remarks, She formally introduced herself to the Stakeholders and narrated the mandate given to her by the National Campaign Council which is to deliver the party’s flag bearer, Asiwaju/Shettima ticket come 2023. She also appreciated the Stakeholders who came from far distance to attend the meeting, irrespective of the short notice. She also apologized for holding the meeting in Abuja instead of Anambra State, thus her reasons were unanimously accepted with happiness.

Sen. Okadigbo explained her programs for the election and invited the stakeholders to make inputs for better outing this time around. She also pleaded for the support and commitment of all members in this coming general elections, ranging from the Presidency to to House of Assembly. She promised to carry everyone along in the bid that Anambra people will give Tinubu/Shettima a reasonable vote, come February 2023.

The State Chairman Hon. Basil Ejidike in his remarks thanked Sen. Margery Chuba-Okadigbo for the noble part she had chosen so far and promised to offer her undiluted support in the bid to achieve the desired objectives that would justify her appointment as the State Coordinator. He also called for peace, forgiveness and tolerance among members. He equally pleaded with the aggrieved individuals to think of tomorrow and shealth their politcal swords for the common interest and progress of the party.

The State Chairman also assured the State Coordinator of the willingness of the party members to maximally cooperate with her to ensure greater success this time around; echoing that united we stand but divided we fall.

The Southeast Zonal Vice Chairman, Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu who also attended the meeting appreciated Anambra Stakeholders. He equally sued for peace, togetherness and commitment which would be a viable tool to disgrace the opposition party come 2023. He also thanked the State Campaign Coordinator, the National Deputy Organizing Secretary and the State Chairman for the type of unity and progressiveness in Anambra State APC.

The Deputy National Organizing Secretary of APC, Hon. Nze Chidi Duru appreciated the State Campaign Coordinator and supported the State Chairman’s call for oneness and commitment towards a hitch-free victory, come 2023.

Other speakers included Amb. Jerry Ugokwe PhD, Sen. Emma Anosike, Hon. Ralph Okeke, Rev. Uche Ibeabuchi, Hon. Callista Nwachukwu, Hon. Phil Agbasi, Hon. Barr. Ikenna Amaechi, Chief Augustine Muomaife, Sen. Joy Emordi and Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji who spoke on behalf of all the Senatorial Candidates while Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi spoke on behalf of House of Representatives Candidates.

Furtherance to implementing the suggestions arising from the meeting, the State Coordinator in agreement with the State Chairman announced her resolve to meet the following officers of the party as scheduled thus: State Working Committee of the party on Saturday 22nd of Oct, 2022 by 4.00pm; meeting with the State Executive Council (including Zonal Officers, LGA Chairmen and Secretaies) on Sunday 23rd Oct. by 1.30pm. Meeting with the House of Assembly Candidates the same day by 4.00pm. Lastly with the National Assembly Candidates on Monday 24th October by 3.00pm before hitting the roads for the campaign proper.

The meeting has in attendance the National Deputy Organizing Secretary Hon. Nze Chidi Duru (Achalugo Aguata), the Southeast APC Zonal Vice Chairman Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, the Southeast Zonal Organizing Secretary Dozie Ikedife Jnr (Ikenga), the State Chairman APC Anambra State Hon. Chief Basil Ejidike (Ikwere Nnabuenyi), and the members of the SWC.

Also in the meeting were all the Senatorial Candidates, Chief Dr. Kodilichukwu Okelekwe- Anambra Central, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji- Anambra South and Mrs Ifeyinwa Anazonwu- Anambra North. And all the House of Representatives Candidates of the party: Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu – Aniocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia Federal Constituency, Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi – Idemmili North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Maxwell Okoye – Awka North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Eluemuno -Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Hon. Victor Okoye – Anambra East/West Federal Constituency, Bright Olisaemeka – Onitsha North/South Federal Constituency, Princess Nkechi Isamade – Ogbaru Federal Constituency, Hon. Smart Nonso Okafor – Nnewi North/South Federal Constituency, Chief Mrs Mike-Ejezie – Ihiala Federal Constituency, Chief Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo – Aguata Federal Constituency (ably represented),

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks and closing prayer by the State Deputy Chairman, Engr Ifeanyi Osegbo.
