Omenugha hosts YESS crucial meeting, honours Ejimofor, distributes seedlings

The Leadership of the Youth Earnestly Seek Solution (YESS) Anambra State, has held a crucial meeting of the Think Tank, Zonal and Local Government coordinators.

Others who attended the meeting were Secretaries, YESS Golden Ladies and Members of the YESS Media team.

The meeting took place at the open foyer of the International Convention Centre, Awka.

The meeting which was held on 9th of July, 2023 was hosted by the Convener of YESS and Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Youth Empowerment, Dr Nelson Omenugha.

Addressing the expanded Executive council of YESS, Dr Omenugha reiterated the mission and vision of YESS, stating that the organization had grown from a political advocacy group to a movement of young people ready to impact the society.

He reminded the council of the significant progress the organization had recorded, especially the quality of service rendered by some members of YESS who are currently serving at various levels of leadership.

He urged them to remain good models of public service in line with the principles of its mentor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR.

The council, in a special way, honoured the organization’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, KSM by presenting a hand-drawn pencil portrait of his image to him.

This was in recognition of his recent election and elevation as the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Thanking the council, Mazi Ejimofor, noted that YESS had become a Nursery bed for raising great leaders. He encouraged members to remain steadfast and continue to uphold the principles of YESS at all times.

The council welcomed the following special Guests who attended in solidarity; Hon. Ernest Ezeajughi, the Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo, Hon. Chinedu ‘Glamour’ Nwoye, the Chair of All Soludo Support Group (ASSG), Deputy Chief Staff to Governor Soludo and State Chief of Protocol, and Ozo Obi Ochije Awka.

At the close of meeting, the convener distributed palm and coconut seedlings to council members, urging them to put it to judicious use in line with the effort of Governor Soludo to restore Anambra to agricultural winning ways.
