The All Progressives Grand Alliance has dispelled rumours that Prof Chukwuma Soludo did not include members of the party in the 80-man transition committee headed by Dr Oby Ezekwesili.
National Co-ordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe gave the clarification in a statement made available to Journalists in Awka, Anambra State.
OBIGWE’S STATEMENT READ

The report that the incoming Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, did not include APGA members and supporters in the list of his Transition Committee members is a lie from the pit of hell.

The State Secretary of APGA, Barrs Tony ifeanya is an old member of APGA and he is in that list.

Hon Nwabufo Nwankwo is a stalwart of APGA, he is also in that list.

Dr Nelson Omenugha, the Son of the current Commissioner for Basic Education is a member of APGA, infact, the whole of his family members are APGA stalwarts, he is in that list.

Hon Chinedu Nwoye is a member of APGA and a diehard supporter of Soludo, he is also in that list.

Thankgod ibeh, a former APGA governorship aspirant is in that list.

Rt. Hon Uche Okafor, Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, a leader of APGA is in that list.

Hon (Dr)Ben Nwankwo, a loyal member of APGA is in that list.

Hon Amaka Obi , a diehard supporter of Soludo and a member of APGA is in that list.

Chief Pat Ubajaka, fmr TC Chairman of Nnewi North is a member of APGA and he is in that list.

Damian Okolo is a strong member of APGA and a former governorship aspirant in the party, he is also a member of the committee.

Harry Uduh, the immediate past Head of Service is a member of APGA and he is in that list.

So my readers will agree with me that the claim that Soludo sidelined APGA members in the composition of his Transition Committee members list is a complete lie from the pit of hell.

I have told many people that the Transition Committee members are not necessarily those that will serve in Soludo cabinet and that is the bitter truth.

Their job description is self explanatory and that is to oversee the transfer of power from a friendly government that gave birth to the incoming friendly government.

All we need to do is to trust Soludo, believe in his judgment, give him the needed cooperation and support to succeed in office.

Am confident that he will definitely meet our expectations and make all his supporters proud.
