RAZOR EDITORIAL: Who is vandalizing the 2nd Niger Bridge?

Editorial

Investigations have shown that the 2nd Niger Bridge, otherwise call Muhammadu Buhari Bridge is being vandalized by unknown persons.

Whoever that is doing that is not only an enemy to the Igbo, but to all the users of the bridge.
That is not the best way to demonstrate anger against anybody.

There should be limits to hatred for oneself, people and the country in the name of proving a point.

It’s wrong for any people or person to rise against themselves.

Buhari is not using the bridge. We are the people using it. We should not be senseless this way.

Like somebody rightly asked: “Why are our people like this? Who cursed Nigeria? The problem is that if you mount security points on both sides of the bridge, the security men will turn them to toll gates. One feels like crying for Nigeria”.

Not withstanding what the security men will do if posted on duties in that axis, we enjoin the Anambra and Delta states Governments to jointly and severally fashion ways to police the area to ensure that hoodlums won’t cause pains to the users of that bridge by this vandalization.
We all knew what it took to draw the attention of the Federal Government to build the new bridge. Such hue and cry should not be forgotten in a hurry.

The old Niger Bridge that is close to 60 years old should not be the hope of anybody.

No sane person shoots himself in the foot.
