Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo was conspicuously missing on Wednesday, when President Bola Tinubu met with Nigerian governors.
Not even his deputy, Dr Onyeka Ibezim was at the meeting to represent his principal, fuelling argument that Soludo’s claims of wanting to connect Anambra to the centre, may be lacking action.
President Tinubu in his first meeting with Governors of the 36 States of the Federation known as the Nigeria Governors’Forum (NGF) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting commenced around 12:36pm.
Some of those present at the meeting include Gvernors of Zamfara, Kano, Taraba, Kogi, Ogun, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Lagos, Rivers, Osun, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Oyo, Plateau, Kebbi, Abia, Imo, Bauchi.
The Deputy Governors of Edo and Niger represented their States.
Those not sighted before the commencement meeting are Governors of Anambra (or the Deputy), Kaduna, Gombe, Borno, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Ekiti, Ondo and Sokoto.
Also attending the meeting are Vice President Kashim Shettima; Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
President Tinubu had met with Governors of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) known as the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), last Friday.
Sme Anambra indigenes who discussed the development on WhatsApp forums said it was a great loss for Anambra people as the meeting would have helped Soludo to bring to the notice of the president, the security situation in the state, and even erosion devastation.
