Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has lauded Anambra Catholic Priest, Reverend Father Vincent Atueyi Chinemelu, whose composition, ‘‘A Life Lived with Grace’’, has become the song being used to mark the platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth of England.

Reverend Father Chinemelu, who hails from Oraeri in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, had in January, won the Song for the Commonwealth competition, alongside lyricist, Lucy Kiely from Australia.

In a statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Aburime, Soludo noted that the winning song is being sung across the globe as beacons are being lit in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, adding that Reverend Father Chinemelu is a multi-instrumentalist, who plays the piano, flute, cello, trumpet, alto sax and guitar.

He attributed the feat achieved by the priest to dedication and the grace of God, adding that by that singular achievement, Reverend Father Chinemelu had brought honour, not only to the Holy Catholic Church, but to his Oraeri community, Anambra State and Nigeria in general.

Soludo, who, on behalf of the government and people of Anambra State, congratulated Reverend Father Chinemelu and wished him more glories ahead, noted that he exploited Anambra Spirit of exploits and enterprise abroad.
