Akaekpuchionwa Picks Forms for Ogbaru Federal Constituency

Chief Chris Nwokedi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has picked the nomination and expression of interest forms of the party to vie for a seat in the House of Representatives.

Nwokedi who is popularly known as Akaekpuchionwa in the political circle in Ogbaru picked the forms at the headquarters of the party in Abuja on Friday.

He had earlier declared his interest for the position in Atani, headquarters of Ogbaru Local Government Area last Saturday, in an elaborate event attended by bigwigs of the party in area.

Nwokedi had 12 years ago contested for the same position, but was later encouraged by the party to step down for another son of the area, Hon Afam Ogene.

In an earlier interview with THE RAZOR NEWS, Akaekpuchionwa had stated that having heeded the advice of the party to step down for another person, it was time for other contestants to step down for him too.

He prided himself as the only one who can match any candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area, while also saying that he would reach out to Hon Chu Chu Onyema, a four time member of the House of Representatives on the platform of the PDP to step down for him too.
