The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has summoned stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to a joint meeting scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026.
The meeting, according to an announcement dated October 22 and signed by Dr Ben Nwankwo, Chief of Staff to the Governor and Coordinator of the Secretariat for the Presidential Campaign Council in Anambra State, will hold at the International Convention Centre, Awka.
Soludo, who is also the Anambra State Coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC), is convening the meeting as preparations for the 2027 general election gather momentum.
The announcement stated that the meeting would commence at 1 p.m. prompt, warning that all participants must be seated before the scheduled time, as the doors would be closed once proceedings begin.
Accreditation is to commence at 10 a.m. at the venue, with attendance restricted to duly accredited invitees.
The meeting is open to current and former political officeholders and party officials who remain members of either APGA or APC, alongside other designated political stakeholders.
Those listed for the meeting include current and former governors and deputy governors of Anambra State; members of the national, zonal and state working committees of both parties; and serving and former members of the National and State Assemblies from the state.
All APGA and APC candidates for the 2027 general election who are members of either party have also been invited.
The list further includes current and former political appointees in the state and federal governments, members of the PBAT/APC Presidential Campaign Council from Anambra State, and serving and former elected local government chairmen, mayors and transition committee chairmen who remain members of either party.

Elected councillors, ward chairmen of APGA and APC, and members of the state working committee of the Accord Party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are also listed.
The announcement added that selected stakeholders nominated by the state chairmen of APGA and APC, as well as others nominated by the state coordinator of the PCC, would attend the meeting.
It said the announcement was intended to ensure that no eligible stakeholder could claim not to have been invited, adding that all persons who fall within the listed categories were deemed invited.
The joint meeting comes against the backdrop of political realignments and preparations by parties and their supporters ahead of the 2027 general election.
