Comrade Osita Obi, a renowned human rights activist and social crusader, has praised Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, for launching the state security outfit, Udo Ga Achi and Agunechemba .
According to Obi, the outfits have effectively silenced the opposition, leaving them with nothing to campaign against.
“The launch of Udo Ga Achi has shut everyone up, including the governor’s admirers,” adding,”The opposition is eerily quiet, like a graveyard. They have no grounds to campaign against Soludo again.”
Obi attributed the silence to Soludo’s innovative approaches to security, including the signing of the Anambra Homeland Security Laws and the reconstitution of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council.
“These moves are not only good but also innovative,” Obi said. “Soludo is simply the best.”
This endorsement comes amidst criticisms from some quarters, including a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, who had accused Soludo of having a “reprobate mind” and demanded his resignation over insecurity concerns.
However, Obi defended Soludo, saying he has done his best to provide security for the people of Anambra State.
As the political landscape in Anambra State continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how the opposition will respond to Soludo’s security initiatives.
For now, it seems the governor has gained the upper hand, thanks to his innovative approaches to security.
