Election: Obiano Declares Friday, Public Holiday

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has declared Friday, 15th February a work free day.

The governor said the move was to enable Public Servants to travel to their respective communities to cast their votes during the General Elections on February 16th.

A press release by the Anambra State Head of Service (HOS), Barr. Harry Udu made this known on Thursday.
 Udu confirmed that Obiano gave the approval for observance of the work free day.

“The governor directs that all Public Servants ensure they perform their civic duty by voting wisely during the elections,” the release read.
