Voting rounding up at UPP primary election as delegates tip Chidoka

of the United Progressives Party, UPP have commenced voting at the party’s primary election holding in Awka.


The process which has been adjudged peaceful started in the morning when delegates, observers and journalists were accredited at a separate venue to ensure orderliness.
Elekenews.com reports that the party which is deemed to be relatively new paraded a sizeable number of electorates to the surprise of most observers.
Meanwhile, some delegates of the party who spoke with our correspondent have tipped former aviation minister, Osita Chidoka for victory.
Chidoka is vying for the ticket of the party with another strong grassroot politician, and two term member of the house of representatives, Hon Chidi Offodile.
A delegate, of the election, Onyeka Okeke from Anaocha local government told elekenews.com that Chidoka is obviously more popular and acceptable, and most members of the party would vote him.
He said, “I am sure Chidoka will win the election, just wait and see. In a matter of hours, the election result would be released, and am sure it would be Chidoka.”
