The traditional ruler of Oraifite in Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra State, Igwe Dan Udoji has poured encomiums on Governor Chukwuma Soludo, describing his administration as innovative.
Speaking at Oraifite as part of activities to round up his Ofala festival, the Monarch observed that the governor has been working tirelessly to provide good governance to the people of Anambra State.
He said: “The administration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo, since it came on board on March 17, 2023, has introduced certain positive innovations to governance.
“The administration is working tirelessly on the mantra of building a prosperous and liveable homeland for Anambra citizens.
“The governor made it imperative that he was going to use the slum Okpoko Community in Ogbaru LGA as a model for what he would showcase in Anambra State. In doing that, roads are being rehabilitated and reconstructed across the state.
“The menace of touts and touting are also being given a fight. The One Youth Two Skills initiative of the government is also commendable.
“On assumption of office, he employed 5000 teachers to boost teaching and learning in the schools across the state. He has also commenced another phase of employment process of additional 3000 teachers to boost the educational sector.
“Health officials have been employed to man the state hospitals so that they can effectively discharge their responsibilities as primary and secondary health care providers.
“In as much as I am not blowing the trumpet of Prof Soludo, I am of the view that if a person, or a government is doing well, such should be commended.
“Amazingly, the governor has achieved virtually all these strides under two years in office. The only appeal I have to make is to implore ndi Anambra, home and abroad and residents alike, to continue to be supportive of our dear governor.
“All forms of distractions should be avoided because that is how it is done in forward -looking climes”.
He commended the people of Oraifite for making the community proud by their ingenuity and selfless contributions to humanity and called on the federal and state governments to come and invest in his community to take advantage of the outstanding human resources and uncommon hospitality of the people.
