The Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has intensified efforts to prevent vandalism of public assets and maintain law and order ahead of the planned nationwide protest.
State Commandant, Maku Olatunde, convened a strategic meeting with top officials to develop effective measures to protect critical infrastructure and ensure a unified response to potential security challenges.
The command warned supervisory officers to maintain utmost vigilance and assume full responsibility for asset security.
It also appealed to protest organizers to use lawful channels for articulating grievances and cautioned against infiltration by undesirable elements.
Meanwhile, the command has received five refurbished IVM IKENGA vehicles to enhance its operational capacity.
The vehicles were restored through collaborative efforts between the state government and the command.
The command assured that the vehicles would be utilized effectively to safeguard critical assets and infrastructure.
