The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has cleared former senator representing Anambra North, Stella Oduah, and seven other aspirants for the party’s 2026 Senate primary elections in Anambra State.
This was contained in an official notice issued by the party’s National Secretariat and signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Ejimofor Opara.
According to the notice dated May 15, 2026, the cleared aspirants were directed to proceed to the party’s regional office in Awka on Monday, May 18, 2026, to collect their nomination forms.
The party also announced that the sale of nomination forms would close on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, urging aspirants to complete the process within the stipulated timeframe.
Those cleared for Anambra Central Senatorial District are Jerry Ugokwe and Dozie Ferdinand Nwankwo.
For Anambra North, the cleared aspirants are John Okechukwu Emeka, Stella Adaeze Oduah, Primus Ugochukwu Odili and Alexander O. Obiogbolu.
In Anambra South, Emmanuel Nwachukwu and Patrick Nnaemeka Ubajaka were also cleared by the party.
“The National Working Committee congratulates all successful aspirants on this milestone. We wish you the very best as you proceed to the primary elections,” the statement added.
The development sets the stage for what is expected to be keenly contested Senate primaries within the ruling party in Anambra State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
