The Okosisi Political Movement on Wednesday mobilised its members in large numbers to the Otuocha Township Stadium, Anambra East Local Government Area, in a show of support for Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and the continuity bid of the local government’s chairmanship candidate, Hon. Sir Ifeanyi Chinweze.

The movement’s mobilisation formed part of activities marking the official reception of Soludo during his visit to the local government area.

Members of the group, drawn from communities across Anambra North, arrived at the stadium in their characteristic organised formation, carrying banners and chanting solidarity songs in support of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)-led administration.

The colourful mobilisation attracted attention at the stadium, with the Okosisi Band providing music and entertainment.
for the crowd and dignitaries at the event.

The movement said its participation was not merely ceremonial, but a deliberate expression of its support for what it described as continuity in Anambra East.

It declared its support for Chinweze, saying the progress recorded in the local government area under the current administration provided a basis for sustaining the existing development trajectory.

The group said stable and consistent leadership was essential to consolidating development at the grassroots.

Its position came amid preparations for the August 29 Anambra State local government elections, in which political parties and candidates have intensified mobilisation across the state.

The reception for Soludo at Otuocha was also marked by cheers from residents and supporters who gathered at the stadium to welcome the governor.

The Okosisi Political Movement described the turnout as an indication of grassroots support for the governor and the APGA administration in the area.

The group reaffirmed its slogan, “Onye Aghana Nwanne Ya,” and declared: “Anambra East is APGA. Ifeanyi for Continuity.”
