Setting the tone for the fast-approaching 2027 general elections, the Anambra Central Senatorial candidate for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, has vowed to transform the senatorial district into a powerhouse of skilled labor and enterprise.

Addressing a mammoth crowd of supporters at his campaign headquarters in Enugwu-Ukwu, Nwankwo—popularly known as Onyendozi—declared that the era of recycled, exhausted politicians is over, championing instead a vibrant, youth-inclusive legislative agenda aimed at economic self-sustenance.

The event, which drew stakeholders and community leaders from all seven Local Government Areas comprising Anambra Central—Njikoka, Dunukofia, Anaocha, Idemili North, Idemili South, Awka North, and Awka South—centered heavily on grassroots empowerment and the urgent need for visionary leadership.

”The power I seek to go to the Senate is to do good to all,” Nwankwo told the cheering crowd, assuring them that “the best is on the way!”

”Our goal is to transform all citizens and residents of Anambra Central into employers of labor—very busy, happy, and productive people. We want to use the instrumentality of the Senate to make our district an exporter of skilled labor and finished products.”

Riding on the developmental strides of the APGA-run administration in the state, Nwankwo urged voters to troop out en masse on January 16, 2027, to cast their ballots for the party, promising a legislative tenure dedicated to lifting every household, youth, and employable citizen.

The candidate’s vision was met with robust endorsements from prominent community stakeholders who framed the upcoming poll as a crucial generational choice.

Chief Okey Nwude, a community leader from Abagana, lauded Nwankwo’s long-standing track record of life-transforming projects across the state. Urging the electorate to deliver a block vote on election morning, Nwude described the election as a rare window of opportunity.

”This remains a golden chance to send a young, sharp, and intelligent man to the Senate,” Nwude stated. “We chose to nominate and back Dozie Nwankwo formidably because we agreed to send an articulate, agile, and informed young candidate instead of washed-up, recycled persons who are tired.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Hon. Atuegbu Emmanuel, a community leader from Njikoka LGA, emphasized that constituents know Nwankwo and his antecedents intimately, which explains the enthusiastic mobilization across all seven councils.

Atuegbu commended the elders, women, and youths for their dogged resilience and unity of purpose, expressing absolute confidence that the district will deliver a landslide victory for APGA in 2027.
