Hon. Dominic Okey Nwuzor, ADC candidate for Awka North/South Federal Constituency, formerly flagged-off his campaign at Nibo ward II on Monday in a ceremony that attracted diverse personalities in ADC.

The party’s top shots were led by former party chairman, Chief Raph Okey Nwosu who led state chairman Rt. Hon. BenChuks Nwosu, chairman of ADC in Anambra State, member national executive council Hon. C. C. Okeke and woman leader Hon. Mrs. Nkechi Oguelina among others.

The traditional ruler of Nibo Igwe Ezike was represented by his cabinet chiefs.

It was indeed a show of solidarity, enthusiasm and renewed commitment as thousands of supporters gathered to identify with the young, articulate and courageous leader who said he is determined to provide purposeful representation for the people of Awka North/South.

Hon. Nwuzor nicknamed ‘Ududo’ (the spider) because of his network of supporters and followers said in an interview that he chose to flag-off his campaign in his ward because charity, they say begins at home.

While addressing his supporters he urged them to support and believe in him because they will not regret his representation.

Nwuzor said that unlike those who represented the federal constituency before him, he will be in touch with the people unlike those who will only remember them at the turn of election.
He said he will create a performance index and having studied the constituency will provide each community with their needs.

His priority if elected will be in three core areas of health care, skill acquisition and youth empowerment.

He said that he belongs to a new generation of leadership that will give positive direction to the constituency.

“I will not be a sleeping legislator. You will hear my voice in the National Assembly on daily basis”, he promised.

Calling his community to support their son, former national chairman and founder of ADC Chief Nwosu urged Nibo people to break the jinx of the void in their representation of the constituency.

He recalled that since 1999 when Hon. Ozor Ughammadu represented the constituency, no other person from the community has risen to prominence. He said that if Nwuzor wins, Nibo will have other advantages such as more development and ambassadorial positions.

He assured that ADC presidential candidate will win the election because according to him, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will sweep the north and earn enough votes in at least four states from the south.

According to Nwosu, no other candidate has as much advantage as Atiku.

Also speaking, the state chairman of the party Rt. Hon. Nwosu advised Nwuzor and his supporters to campaign seriously among Obizi power block which he said yields significant votes during elections.

He said that the party chose Nwuzor very carefully because it knows he will go to battle and win.

He thanked women supporters, especially the Ududo Support Group urging them not to relent, adding that over the years they have proved reliable.

Hon. C. C. Okeke while speaking said Nwuzor is flying the party’s flag because they know he can deliver. He praised Nwuzor’s wisdom in flagging his campaign from home and pledged his support to him.

In her speech, woman leader Hon. Mrs. Oguelina pledged to lead the women for Nwuzor’s victory.

Nwuzor’s eldest brother Sir Edwin Chira Nwuzor said his brother is trust worthy and a man of his words. He asked voters to support him.
