The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Anambra State Directorate, has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and the people of Anambra State as the state marks the 35th anniversary of its creation.
In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the anniversary, the State Director of the NOA, Lady Ifeoma Evangeline Chijioke, described the milestone as an opportunity to celebrate the state’s achievements while looking forward to greater development.
The message, themed around 35 years of “progress, unity and excellence,” said Anambra had grown from humble beginnings into what it described as a rising beacon of innovation, infrastructure, culture and human capital development.
The NOA commended Governor Soludo for what it described as his “selfless service and unwavering commitment” to the development of the state.
It also hailed the people of Anambra for their resilience and contributions to the growth and development of the state over the past 35 years.
According to the agency, Anambra’s journey since its creation in 1991 has been characterised by growth and a determination to build a better future.
The message expressed optimism that the state would continue to make progress under the current administration, particularly in building a “livable, prosperous and sustainable homeland for all.”
The NOA urged Ndi Anambra to remain united and committed to the collective development of the state, stressing the importance of shared responsibility in building a better Anambra.
“Together, we will build a better Anambra,” the agency said.
The NOA’s anniversary message further wished the government and people of Anambra a happy 35th anniversary, while expressing confidence in the state’s continued progress.
Anambra State was created on August 27, 1991, during the administration of former military Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, and is marking 35 years of statehood in 2026.
